It's with a heavy heart that my wife and I have made the decision to look to re-home our beautiful Golden Shepherd girl. Shug is 7 months old and came from a breeder through an accidental litter. The breeder typically bred GSD's but a friend's sneaky Golden Retriever who was boarding with them made a move and she gave birth to a healthy litter. She is a great dog and a very good girl, she lives in our house with our two ragdoll cats and is friendly and playful (sometimes to the dismay of our older ragdoll who will just leave the room). She has been socialised with people, kids, cats and dogs from a young age, including completing a puppy preschool to give her the exposure from a young age. She walks well on the lead (we swapped to a harness as she started getting bigger) and is extremely friendly and sweet with friends and family. Loves a belly rub. She is toilet and crate trained, has sit, stay (or wait as we use), down, heel, middle, paw, boop and more tricks in her arsenal and has been extremely pleasant to train. She's trained on "yes" as a marker as well so it makes teaching her right from wrong much easier. She enjoys walks, hikes and visits to the park. We recently started taking her to pubs and cafes and she settles well with a yakker and I'd recommend she continues with this if you'd like a take-anywhere companion. She's good in the car if not for a bit of whining every now and then, mostly because she knows there is fun times coming and she's looking forward to it. Recently both my wife and I have been offered new jobs. Whereas previously I was working from home 4 days a week and my wife would WFH the other, our new jobs would require us to travel to London much more per week. We have been discussing this for quite some time now and we aren't sure we are able to give her the life she would deserve when we start these new jobs. We feel she would thrive in a family home or even a home with another dog (or dogs) that she can have fun with and flourish. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea/tick/tapeworm protected (will provide details of her schedule and products used by our vet). She's a favourite at our vet and everyone that has spent time with her loves her. We would like to try and find the right home for her prior to my wife's new job in November, so we aren't in a rush. The price will include: XL Kong crate, a bag of her food (we order 12kg bags), all her treats, toys, her bed and blankets, our leads and harnesses and all the paperwork we have for her.
