💔 Are we full? Yes... completely. But sometimes a dog comes along whose story simply doesn't let you walk away.
Meet beautiful Lily. A dog who has done absolutely nothing wrong. A dog whose whole world is changing because her family is falling apart.
After the breakdown of her owner's marriage, Lily's life has changed completely. Living alone and working full time, her owner can no longer give Lily the time, companionship and care she deserves.
So here we are... Looking for someone willing to be Lily's bridge to a happier future.

Lily is a 7-year-old Whippet × Springer Spaniel cross, a beautiful medium-sized girl with the sweetest, gentlest soul.

🐾 More About Lily
If we had to describe Lily in one word... It would be “KIND”. ❤️
Her owner calls her "an absolute sweetheart," and it's easy to understand why.
Lily is one of those rare dogs who seems to sense exactly how you're feeling. If you're upset, she'll quietly come over, cover you in gentle kisses and stay close until you feel better. She's a true little empath who simply wants her people to be happy.
At home she's wonderfully easy to live with. After a walk she's perfectly content to curl up beside you on the sofa or bed, often sleeping for hours, simply enjoying being close to the person she loves. Cuddles are one of her favourite things in the world.
She walks beautifully on the lead and, thanks to working with a behaviourist, has made fantastic progress around other dogs. She now happily walks past them, only asking for a little space if an off-lead dog rushes directly into her face.
Lily loves running, so regular trips to secure dog fields are one of her favourite adventures. She adores chasing a ball, playing fetch and stretching those long legs, but she's equally happy with a shorter everyday stroll before coming home for a cuddle.
Visitors are always welcomed politely. She'll happily say hello, enjoy a little fuss or invite them to play with a toy, but if they don't want to interact she'll simply settle down and relax without demanding attention.
She previously lived happily with another dog for three years and really enjoyed the companionship.
Cats are a little more complicated. Lily previously lived very happily with a confident cat that had been introduced slowly from kittenhood, and they would often curl up together in the same bed. ❤️ However, outside the home she will happily chase cats she sees on walks, so we can't guarantee how she would react to another resident cat. Because of this, we'd either recommend a cat-free home or a very calm, confident cat with careful, gradual introductions and the ability to keep them separated while they get to know each other.
The only challenge Lily is currently working on is mild separation anxiety. She wasn’t used to be left alone for hours. She's taking fluoxetine alongside positive training and is already making lovely progress, although at the moment she isn't comfortable being left for much longer than an hour. We believe that with stability, routine and continued support, her confidence will continue to grow.
🏡 Ideal Home
Lily would love a family where she isn't left alone, at east the first few months until fully settles, and can once again enjoy the companionship she's always known.
Her ideal home is quiet, has a secure garden, preferably rural/good walks, along with people who enjoy walks, cuddles and making their dog part of everyday life.
She could happily live with another friendly dog, but we'd recommend a home without cats or small animals due to her natural chase instinct.
💞 Some dogs ask for so much... Lily doesn't. Just a warm sofa, a few adventures, someone to cuddle... and a family who'll love her as much as she'll love them.
We couldn't resist helping her. We hope someone out there won't be able to resist her either. ❤️
