Description
Lima was saved from the Breasta shelter kill list in 2019 and was in another shelter until February 25 when she was offered a space in a foster home. We do not know of her history prior to being in a shelter.
Lima is microchipped, vaccinated and neutered with no known health issues.
Lima is a very shy dog and she will take a while to warm up to people, to begin with she will need a safe space away from visitors as she will not want to be in the room with them. She is not aggressive just very worried. Due to her being nervous but placid behaviour older dog savvy children that are okay being quieter around her would be okay. Lima lives with other dogs and they do really help her with her confidence. She would like to live with other calm dogs if she doesn't she would like to be walked with another dog if possible. She has not met cats.
Lima is toilet trained as well as crate trained but she prefers this to be open. She is good overnight and happy sleeping when left alone for up to 4 hours. She has been minimally destructive and will tear up cardboard boxes she finds. she has not travelled in a car. Lima with patience will accept a harness, collar and lead. She will need to build up trust before allowing this. On walks she is worried by loud noises and busy environments so would like a quieter walking area. She is much more comfortable walking with another dog. She does behave well, walks slowly but lacks confidence.
Limas foster says'She loves her food and treats.Anything else will take time and patience with Lima, she is very sweet natured a gentle girl no aggression even when she has been so afraid of things.'
