Putting the feelers out there for my two furbabies! This is a really hard decision for me but after a marriage breakdown and a 1 year old, I simply can’t offer them a life they deserve right now, and I don’t think it’s right they wait until I can. They have been with me through everything of significance in my life, through adulthood, ivf and are my soul dogs so I will only give them to someone who I feel really will offer them the best! I will not give them to anyone. My boy called Zuko is 7 years old, soon to turn 8 in September (although we don’t know his actual birthday) and my girl Myla is currently 6 and will turn 7 on September 19th. Zuko had a difficult start to life used as a breeding dog far too young and passed from home to home, I eventually took him in at 1 yr old, with finding literally no reason as to why he was passed around so much, absolutely gorgeous boy, good with kids, chill little lazy old man, loves cuddles and being loved. He’s a proper gem! Was always good with other dogs, although we did have an incident where a male dog went for Myla on a walk and since then he’s been unsure of male dogs and gets his back up even if one walks past, however you can still walk him past and it hasn’t been a huge issue I just wouldn’t mix him directly with a entire male, he’s much better if they are done :) he doesn’t have many teeth left after a dental last winter also so he doesn’t have much to help him in a scrap 😆, he doesn’t have best recall, better after I had him done but if there was a dog or distraction he would be off so I never take him off unless safe to do so, does love food however and I have done some training with him, which is shows a lot of potential to being off lead with someone that can dedicate more time and training for him. Myla on the other hand perfect with everything, isn’t bothered by other dogs, can go off lead with so far great recall, she’s also very responsive to food and since a pup I have always treated her when called and continue to do so, she will walk ahead of you but never go to far always looking back and literally off lead will walk past a dog not a care in the world, doesn’t play much with other dogs other than zuko because she just doesn’t care for them 😂, she’s a proper character, crazy but very loving little girl, energetic (energy of a spaniel) but obviously being a stereotypical pug and struggle with her breathing from time to time although this doesn’t stop her or cause her distress in anyway I do tend to use my judgment when to get her to chill in bed etc (iv had her checked multiple times at vets and they tell me every time her issues are mild and actually don’t affect her just sounds worst than is) she hates her nails being done this is a two man job, you can get them done with clippers but she’s just extremely wiggly making it a very difficult task she never bites or is aggressive in this however so you can do it you just get sweaty and scratched in the process, however again if someone can dedicate the time and training she might come round eventually. Zuko is up to date on vaccines Myla is due her booster but currently I don’t have to funds to get them done with my situation. Another reason this isn’t fair on them. They are both good with children, they can be a little excited and they love people so children must be confident otherwise they can seem intimidating to a wary child. I love these guys so much this is super super heartbreaking for me. I was going to keep just one of them but in all honesty they are so bonded and literally best friends that it wouldn’t be fair that I split them so would love if they can go together.
