Description
Holly & Ivy are beautiful, pure black approx 18 month old sisters. They are looking for an outdoor home such as on a farm or livery yard, or in a large garden where they will have lots of space to explore & hunt. They will need to be contained initially for some weeks (eg in a stable) to bond to their new environment, and although they will be living outdoors they will still need fresh water & food provided daily, and their adopter must be prepared to seek medical care should they ever need it.
Holly & Ivy came in to rescue via a vets in December 2024. When they arrived, they were very scared and feral. Ivy had a cat bite abscess and both had to be trapped in order to get them the veterinary treatment she needed.
The girls are currently in foster in a home but despite being allowed over a year to acclimatise, they have not really warmed up to home life. Ivy tolerates some interaction with her fosterers, such as being stroked or interacting with toys, but Holly doesn’t. Their adopter may find that once they are living outside, with the option to interact with humans if they wish it, they may be more accepting of being stroked, but this is of course not guaranteed! The girls are young and healthy and will likely make good pest control.
Holly & Ivy are in foster in Tadley.
Minimum adoption fee is £100 per cat which includes:
- Neutering
- Microchip (there is a small fee to register/transfer ownership)
- At least the first vaccination
- Up to date flea and worming
- A Pet Remedy new home kit
- 5 weeks free insurance with Agria
- A blanket for a familiar smell
- Ongoing advice & support
