He is currently living with one of our lovely UK fosters. Since coming into foster care, he has proven himself to be a world-class cuddler—but only once he knows you are his safe person. He is a loyal, one-person dog looking for a home to call his own. Because of his significant fears, Romeo would probably do best with a female adopter. He has proven to be fearful of men in his current foster home and, while he has made progress, he truly thrives in a calm, female-only environment without the stress of multiple residents or high foot traffic. He wants to be your shadow, your protector, and your best friend. He is agile, fit, and incredibly bouncy! He has excellent recall and is a joy to watch when he’s running. He is highly food-motivated and picks up training quickly, making him a fantastic partner for someone who enjoys brain games or active walks. He is completely housetrained. He shows interest in cats and wants to play with them. He would do well with a confident, dog-savvy cat who doesn't mind a bouncy friend. Romeo has come a long way, but he remains an anxious boy who can be reactive and unpredictable when he feels threatened or encounters people outside of his trusted circle. He has been known to give warning nips when he feels uncomfortable and scared. He needs an experienced owner who understands canine body language and is happy to provide a low-stress lifestyle where he doesn't have to face his fears of men or children. In return, you will get a sweet, silly, and incredibly devoted partner who will cherish every second spent by your side. Romeo is a beautiful, sweet, kind hearted boy who needs a very loving forever home. He is such a character, he is friendly and affectionate. He really loves human attention, very loyal and gets on well with other dogs too. He loves cuddles and kisses. He is medium in size, around 13kg.
