Description
Very reluctantly I need to rehome my beautiful boy. He’s almost 9 years old and I’ve had him for nearly 3 years, he came to me after a rocky start with several homes, through no fault of his own, and I swore my home would be his last. However I have over the last year developed arthritis in my hips and spine as well as other health issues, and find I can no longer manage such a strong dog. He is the best house dog I’ve ever had, very quiet, gentle and well behaved, quite sensitive and very attached to me which makes this decision so hard. At first he was quite aloof, but has become very affectionate over the years. But he has strong prey drive and this is the problem when I’m walking him as he tends to pull on the lead if he spots something and this exacerbates my condition. He can be reactive at times, especially since being attacked recently. He particularly doesn’t like huskies, german shepherds and black dogs. He needs to be in a home with another dog or dogs as he loves company and doesn’t like to be left alone. He is definitely not cat friendly. He is best buddies with my beddy whippet. He needs to go to someone who understands sighthound behaviour, and who will love him like I do. Only genuine people need apply and all enquiries will be given serious consideration and home checks. The money will go to a dog rescue centre.
