Kind in all aspects!! A big Labrador! Perfect to shoe, bath, load and travel in a trailer or lorry. First at the gate to be caught, a real favourite of the yard. Come and meet him and you’ll see exactly why!
Had a brief yet successful race career. He was an £80,000 race horse. He’s stopped racing for no other reason other than the owners having an unexpected change in finances.
Now this horse is seriously class on the flat! He puts my warmblood to absolute shame , this boy is a real deal mover. Covers the ground , flicks those toes , great hock action , straight and elastic , uphill and masses of presence. All while being a leg in each corner , snaffle mouthed , very easy ride. Dressage or showing etc is definitely calling him. I wouldn’t be one but surprised if I put the TV on one day and saw him trotting around the arena of dreams at HOYS.
Expresso pops small coloured fences with ease and willingness. Could definitely be competitive in this and any other sphere with further production.
Hacks out with the most level head you’d ever find. Exceptional in traffic! We are based in a slip road the M4, trust me, he’s seen it all and doesn’t bat an eyelid!! Goes out alone or company and is a real no questions asked type. Any member of the family could ride him
As with every horse , there is a BUT. ‘Expresso’ suits gelding only turnout and prefers a gelding neighbour in the barn! Everyone loves a cheeky chappy in a ground of lads , and he’s that lad! Young boys for you, we know what they’re like, god loves a trier! He’s just a loveable rouge! He’s talk , dark , and handsome with a typical passion of the French and doesn’t he know it!
While he as close as bombproof as I like to say out hacking etc , I feel this horse deserves a lot more than that. I’d like to see him in a professional home where someone is going to a great job of a top class horse to be.
