Big Annie spent the first part of her life as a working shepherd dog, used by a farmer to watch over his sheep.
Sadly, the person responsible for her failed to give her the care she deserved. Annie was underfed, received no proper veterinary treatment and had not been vaccinated. She worked loyally while her own basic needs were neglected. 💔
Thankfully, we managed to remove this beautiful girl from that situation and bring her to safety.
Since being rescued, Big Annie has shown us what a truly exceptional dog she is. Despite everything she endured, she remains gentle, trusting and remarkably well behaved. She is wonderful with people and behaves beautifully around other dogs. 🥰🐕
Annie has already spent enough of her life being valued only for the work she could do. Now she deserves to discover soft beds, full bowls, kind hands and the security of belonging to a loving family. 🏡❤️

Big Annie is a genuine shepherd-type dog who was previously used to work with and guard livestock. Without DNA testing or verified parentage, we cannot state her exact breed with certainty.
Her working background does not mean that she is being offered as a working or guarding dog. Annie has retired from that life permanently and must now be valued simply for who she is. ❤️
🏡 BIG ANNIE’S IDEAL HOME
Annie needs a loving and committed home with people who appreciate large shepherd-type dogs and understand their intelligence, loyalty and need for companionship.
She deserves a secure home, a safely enclosed garden, appropriate exercise and—most importantly—a place at the heart of her family.
Our rescue policy is that we do not rehome dogs to families with children younger than 10 years old. Annie’s suitability for a home with older children can be discussed with suitable applicants.
Our rehomed dogs must become loved and valued family members. Big Annie is offered strictly as a family pet and companion only—not for livestock work, guarding, breeding, service or assistance work, hunting, dog fighting or any other form of exploitation. 🚫

🏡 An adoption fee and home check apply. Home checks can usually be completed online.

📍 England and Wales—approximately every fortnight
📍 Scotland—normally approximately once a month
