PANDORA (DORA) – A Beautiful Soul Looking for Her Perfect Forever Home
Date of birth: 1 December 2020
Height: Approx. 55 cm
Sometimes love alone isn't enough...
It is with great sadness that Pandora is looking for a new home once again.
Her current family absolutely adores her and describes her as a wonderful, gentle, calm, loving and incredibly special dog. The decision to let her go has therefore not been made lightly.
Sadly, after living together, they realised that Pandora's size and strength occasionally make her more than her adopter feels physically confident handling in unexpected situations. This has nothing whatsoever to do with Pandora's character or behaviour. On the contrary...
Pandora has exceeded every expectation.
Because we always want what is best for both our dogs and our adopters, we are now looking for the forever home where Pandora can continue the beautiful life she has only just discovered.
Her Story
Pandora's life has been one of waiting...
As a young girl, she was rescued from a public shelter — a place where her future looked uncertain. She was given safety in a private shelter, where she slowly blossomed into the most loving, gentle soul.
Day by day she grew into a wonderful dog, ready to devote herself completely to someone.
But that someone never came...
Years passed.
She waited patiently.
Then tragedy struck.
Her beloved rescuer became terminally ill and the shelter eventually had to close. Pandora once again found herself in a public shelter — frightened, confused and without a future.
Thankfully another rescuer stepped in and saved her just in time.
That rescue eventually led Pandora to the UK...
...where she finally discovered what family life feels like.
And what a beautiful discovery it has been.
Living with Pandora
Pandora has adapted to home life incredibly well.
She is exactly the kind of dog who quietly fits into everyday life.
Whether she is relaxing indoors, lying quietly in the garden, accompanying you to a café or enjoying a countryside walk, Pandora settles beautifully wherever she is.
She loves her walks and has learned remarkably quickly to walk nicely on the lead. She has also done very well on a long line and naturally likes to stay close to her people rather than wandering far away.
After a nice walk she is more than happy to curl up in her bed and enjoy a peaceful snooze.
Pandora has a wonderfully calm nature indoors. If you're relaxing, she'll happily relax beside you. The only thing that immediately lights up her face is seeing her harness come out, because she knows an adventure is about to begin.
She is incredibly intelligent and loves learning. She already understands commands such as sit, bed, come, and patiently waits beside you at road crossings until she is told she can continue.
Being food-motivated makes training enjoyable, yet she has lovely manners. She doesn't beg at the table and is perfectly content lying quietly nearby while you enjoy your meal.
The Perfect House Guest
Pandora has proven herself to be an easy dog to live with.
She sleeps peacefully through the night in her own bed downstairs.
She has gradually learned to stay home alone for up to four hours and remains calm both when you leave and when you return.
She travels well in the car and takes everyday life in her stride. Household noises such as the vacuum cleaner or blender don't bother her, nor are joggers, cyclists or the doorbell a problem.
She loves sniffing games, enjoys her snuffle ball and absolutely melts for tummy rubs.
Social Butterfly
One of Pandora's greatest joys is people.
She absolutely loves visitors and greets everyone with a wagging tail, making them feel instantly welcome.
She is friendly with other dogs too. Like all dogs, she may occasionally need a little time with certain individuals, but she approaches them with curiosity rather than conflict.
The Home We're Looking For
Pandora truly is a wonderful companion.
Because she is a healthy medium-sized girl, she can occasionally become enthusiastic when spotting squirrels or meeting a dog she'd love to play with. We therefore feel she would be happiest with someone who feels comfortable handling (on leash) a dog of her size in those occasional exciting moments.
Apart from that...
Her family describe her as "literally the perfect dog."
We couldn't agree more.
Could You Be Pandora's Forever?
Pandora has spent far too much of her life waiting.
Waiting in shelters.
Waiting for someone to choose her.
Waiting for the life she always deserved.
Now she is simply waiting for the one place where she can stay forever.
A home filled with love.
A soft bed.
A family who will treasure the extraordinary dog she truly is.
️ If you think Pandora could be the missing piece of your family, please send us a message telling us a little about yourself, your home and your lifestyle.

Because this beautiful girl deserves nothing less than the forever home she has been waiting for all her life.
