Photos were sent and everything seemed perfect. Sadly, when we checked on her later, reality was very different. Instead of being a beloved family member, Penny had been left chained outside, living in a leaking kennel. She was immediately taken back into rescue. The amazing thing is... she never stopped loving people. 🐾 More About Penny Penny is one of those dogs who throws herself into life with her whole heart. She adores walks, adventures, playing with toys, exploring, zooming around fields and making new friends. Whether it's a woodland walk or simply chasing a ball, Penny approaches everything with enormous enthusiasm. She absolutely loves other dogs and would really enjoy a playful canine companion. Watching her run and play is pure happiness. In fact, her foster says Penny and Yara make the perfect playmates, bringing out the best in each other and happily tiring each other out on walks. If someone happened to be looking for two wonderful young dogs... they would make a dream combination. Despite all her energy, Penny also has an incredibly affectionate, "soppy" side. Once she's had a good run and her brain has been exercised, she settles beautifully and simply wants to cuddle with her people. Like many young Penny can become over-excited if her exercise and mental stimulation needs aren't met. She also has a funny, hoarse little "chatty" voice when she's excited—it makes everyone laugh. The wonderful thing is how eager she is to learn. She responds brilliantly to calm, consistent guidance and quickly settles when asked. She genuinely wants to please and loves working together with her person. 🏡 Ideal Home Penny is looking for an active family who see their dog as part of every adventure. She would thrive with people who enjoy long walks, woodland adventures, exploring, training and giving a clever young dog plenty to do.
