Description
Looking for a new home for my male and female Bourke Parakeet.
They are both under 2years old and are likely to start breeding any time this year. They live up to 20 years in captivity.
Bourke parakeets are the quiet gentler end of the parakeet family who come alive in early morning and the evening when they become more active and quietly tweet and flutter about.
They are very pretty birds with their salmon pink fronts and grey remaining feathers. The female is the duller colouring. They like attention, listening to music and like louder noises such as the vacuum cleaner.
They come with a new cage with open out top though I haven’t tried them with that yet. The cage includes a heated perch for winter cold, and everything else they are familiar with. Overall price includes both birds and the cage but am willing to be a little flexible. They would be just as happy in an aviary though I’m told not with budgies as they tend to bully this gentle breed!
I’m only rehoming them because of having to move unexpectedly.
