Description
Ava, our beautiful British Shorthair girl, born on 21/03/2024, is looking for a caring and permanent home where she can receive all the love and attention she deserves.
She is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, litter trained, and in excellent health.
Before I adopted Ava, she experienced some difficult and traumatic events early in her life. Then, at around five months old, she sadly developed FIP. Thankfully, she made a full recovery following treatment and has remained healthy ever since. Despite everything she has been through, Ava is a gentle, loving, and affectionate cat. She doesn't demand attention—instead, she shows her love by quietly coming over to sit beside you, following you from room to room, and simply enjoying being close to her favourite people.
Because of her past, Ava can be a little cautious when meeting new people. She may occasionally move away if you approach her too quickly, but once she has had a little time to build trust, her affectionate personality truly shines through. She enjoys being around her people and forms deep, loyal bonds with those she feels safe with.
Ava currently lives with two adult cats and has become comfortable with them over time. If she is joining a home with another cat, she may need patience and slow introductions while she adjusts, as it can take her a little while to feel comfortable with new feline companions.
This has been an incredibly difficult decision for us, but we believe it is what is best for Ava. She has settled well with our two adult cats, but she hasn't adjusted well since we introduced a younger kitten into our home. We have given her plenty of time and have done everything we can to help her adapt, but we feel she would be happier in a calmer environment where she can feel completely relaxed and secure. Her happiness and wellbeing will always come first, which is why we have made the heartbreaking decision to find her the loving forever home she deserves.
Ava is:
- ✅ Spayed
- ✅ Microchipped
- ✅ Fully vaccinated
- ✅ Litter trained
- ✅ Healthy
- ✅ Gentle, affectionate, and people-oriented
- ✅ Comes with a 3-day supply of her favourite wet and dry food to help her settle into her new home
More than anything, I want Ava to go to a kind, patient, and loving home where she will be treated as part of the family. She deserves a safe, happy, and lifelong home with someone who will give her the love and care she deserves. I may ask a few questions to make sure she is going to the right home, as finding the best family for Ava is my highest priority.
If you feel you could offer Ava the forever home she deserves, I'd love to hear from you.
