Description
4 year old family dog Vinny is in need of a new home! He is a lovely dog and this has been an extremely difficult decision but unfortunately we can no longer care for him in the way we have previously. We have two young babies in the house and sadly Vinny does not suit this new lifestyle change - the sensitivities that he has we were able to manage before children but have now become too difficult. The main issue is that Vinny is very reactive to other dogs both on and off the lead. He was sadly attacked by a rescue dog as a puppy and now replicates that exact behaviour with other dogs. This mean that every dog walk requires attention to ensure Vinny does not lunge at other dogs etc. Our children have picked up on the behaviour and we feel it is negatively affecting them as we are constantly anxious about bumping into other dog walkers. We live in a busy area - Vinny would suit a quieter home and location.
He is honestly like a cat in the house and is super chill, sadly it’s just on walks he becomes very aggressive when he sees another dog. Also hates cats. He’s never shown any aggression towards people, just other dogs. He can be a bit shy and nervy upon first meet but that is typical of this breed.
