Description

πŸ’™πŸΆ MILO – A TINY CUDDLE BUG WHO JUST WANTS MORE TIME WITH HIS PEOPLE πŸΆπŸ’™ πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸΎ UK SURRENDER 🏠 LOOKING FOR LOCAL FOSTER, AVAILABLE FOR RESERVATION as FOSTER TO ADOPT 🏠 πŸ“ Currently located: Swadlincote DE11 🌟 RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks insurance provided upon adoption (on request) πŸ’” Milo is still only a youngster, but unfortunately he is already looking for another fresh start. His family took him in around eight months ago after finding him advertised online. They love this little boy, but with both of them working full-time and a baby expected in a few months, they have realised they simply cannot give Milo the time and attention he needs. And really, that's the heart of Milo's story β€” he is a very people-oriented little dog who is happiest when someone is around. ❀️ His family told: "He is so loving and sweet. He is very good when you are home with him. He loves cuddles and play time." 🐾 Meet Milo Milo is an 18 months old Dachshund boy, weighing just around 7 kg. He can initially be a little shy, but kindness quickly wins him over and then you discover an affectionate, playful little companion who absolutely loves being close to his people. ✨ Highlights ✨ β€’ SIZE: Small (approx. 7 kg) β€’ NEUTERED: Yes. Recently by Rescue β€’ CHARACTER: Loving β€’ Affectionate β€’ Playful β€’ Sweet β€’ People-orientated β€’ DOGS: Previously lived with another dog; can bark at dogs on lead but is good with dogs off lead β€’ CATS: No – not suitable β€’ CHILDREN: Has previously lived with children, but prefers adults πŸ’” Surrender Story Milo originally came from another family with two children. His current family believe that environment may simply have been too busy for a young dog who needs quite a lot of individual time and attention. Eight months ago they welcomed him into their own home and have discovered what a loving little character he is. Unfortunately, full-time work means Milo isn't getting enough companionship and engagement, and with a baby arriving in the coming months, his family know their available time will become even more limited. Rather than allow him to become increasingly frustrated, they have made the difficult decision to find him a home better matched to what he needs. 🐾 More About Milo Milo is at his happiest when life includes his people. He loves cuddles, playtime and walks, and when somebody is home with him he is described as a very good little boy. He is used to living in a house with a garden and sleeps in bed with his humans. πŸ₯° He is also crate-trained and comfortable with his crate left open. If his family need to go shopping or leave occasionally for a couple of hours, he can manage this when fully settled β€” he just isn't a dog suited to being left alone regularly for long hours. Milo loves his walks and has reasonable recall. He can pull a little when excited and may bark at other dogs while on lead, although his family say he is fine with dogs off lead. He has previously lived with another dog successfully. Like many young Dachshunds, Milo needs his brain occupied too. If he becomes bored or is left without enough interaction, he can find his own entertainment by chewing things he shouldn't! πŸ˜… So toys, enrichment, walks, play and simply being included in everyday life will make a big difference. There is no food or toy guarding reported, no known medical or behavioural concerns beyond needing more companionship, activity and continued young-dog training. 🏑 Ideal Home We think Milo would be happiest with an individual or couple who work from home, are early-retired or simply have plenty of time to share with their dog. A quieter home where he receives plenty of companionship, cuddles, walks and playtime would suit him beautifully. Although he has previously lived with another dog, his family feel he would probably thrive best as the only pet, where he can enjoy all the attention for himself. No cats, please. Most of all, Milo needs people who actually want a little Dachshund companion involved in their daily life β€” because being close to his humans is exactly where this sweet boy wants to be. ❀️ πŸ’ž Milo isn't asking for anything extraordinary. He wants walks. Playtime. Things to keep that young brain occupied. A cosy place to sleep. And LOTS of cuddles. Give him your time and company, and in return you get a small 7 kg shadow with a huge amount of love to give. πŸ’™πŸΎ 🩺 Health Information Milo has no known medical conditions and is microchipped, with veterinary records available.
