Felix was rescued from the council pound when he had served his 7 days and no one came to claim him. The pound think he was deliberately abandoned by his so called owner but no proof as sadly Felix wasn’t microchipped. So with a death sentence upon him he was lucky to find a safe kennel foster space and can now live a full life when it was going to be cut so short.
He is estimated at 10-11 months and has basic manners including sit, go into the down and then ‘finish’ where he will turn and sit on your left side both facing the same way. Someone has put some time into training him these commands and I really don’t know why they just abandoned him like rubbish. He is wonderful and just loves hugs and a fuss. He is a very playful lad with his ball and enjoys a good zoomies round the garden. Fully house trained and eager to please, Felix is bright as a button and wants to learn all the time. He gives great eye contact and learns very quickly what you want him to do especially if you have treats of course.
He walks better with a headcollar harness and training lead for duel control and safety, he is strong on the lead but is learning to calm down. He has a play high pitched bark and another low pitched bark which is when you need to go and investigate. He loves standing on his back legs for a better view and is always trying to see what the neighbours are up too - he is a nosey Parker for sure.
He could possibly live with a laid back, well mannered female dog but he will react a dog is aggressive to him. As we have no previous history we are looking for either an adult only home or a home with children who are over the age of 12 years. Felix is not cat tested.
Felix needs someone who has had large breed dogs before to guide him into a well balanced adult dog. Could you be his person(s)?
