Hi, meet simsim (sesame) My lovely Pinapple Green Cheek Conure. He is a very very big character! and loves attention, but he can be a complicated bird, whether this makes him less likely to get a home sooner, i just need him to be understood and not moved on again. he is a very vocal boy, he says a lot of words like “simsim” “pretty boy” “good morning” “come here” “baby” “yeah” “good boy” “i love you” and much more, but he also is loud in the sense of flock calling, beeping, and more, which isn’t uncommon for a green cheek conure. they are just seen as “beginner birds” because of their size, but simsim is quite a complex and temperamental bird, he takes a while to completely trust you and will bite if he feels threatened, anxious or overwhelmed, so i want somebody who really knows about birds, preferably a man (he tends to trust and like males more due to his hand rearer being a man.) to take him, he would not work as an aviary bird as he craves attention all the time, i’m not selling him due to any fault of his own just that i personally don’t have the time for him. but this poor bird has been moved on so many times and i want nothing more than for him to have a forever home, he is DNA tested male, and doesn’t get along with other birds unless he’s used to them. he makes a lot of noises like ‘laughing’ ‘kissing’ ‘eating noises’ and even things like ‘coughing’. he loves to mimic so careful what you say around him! he can easily pick up new words with time and patience. he comes with his cage which is undamaged and in new condition. he is eating pellets which i would like him to stay on, he enjoys bathing too.. this bird has so much personality and deserves a loving home with all the time to give him attention, but i would like him to go to someone who is experienced in keeping parrots and knows body language and care of parrots, i do not want him to be let down again. for any further info or videos or pictures message me please, price can be discussed if i think your the right home.
