Description

When we got Chevy we were told she was a staffy, border collie, kelpie cross and has a scar on her paw from previous owners, if you would like a picture or any information please let us know. Chevy is roughly 9-10 months old. We rehomed her around 6 months old from her previous owners who didn't take any care of her. Since we've had her we have taught her almost all of her basic commands, e.g. sit, wait, etc. however she still needs some more work. She is 50/50 with her toilet training as when we got her she had zero house training. She requires gentle and positive training with someone who has experience with working dogs as she wasn't dealt a fair hand at first and is fearful of negative interactions, e.g. shouting (more info provided over the phone). She currently lives with 2 other dogs, one male and one female, has no issues with them and isn't aggressive by any means, but has no understanding of boundaries. When we rehomed her, she was very withdrawn and as she's gotten more confident in herself she isn't friendly towards our cats. We have done exposure training but she isn't making improvements which is the primary reason for rehoming her as we don't feel our cats are safe. Apart from all of that she is a very friendly, happy dog but she needs someone with a lot more time and patience than we are able to give her. She prefers women but does come around to men over time. We keep her on a long line when exercising as her recall isn't 100% just yet, she loves all kinds of toys but hide your toilet paper. She is crate trained but we have been working on her seperation anxiety and she does very well with the radio rather than complete silence if she is going to be left alone. We will provide her lead, collar, harness, bowls and whatever food of hers we have on hand at the time. She was originally from the country side and now lives in London so she is still quite nervous on busy roads so that is something to be wary of. Any questions feel free to ask :) She will be with my family while I'm away from the 14th-24th so any questions will be answered when available but she will not be able to be seen during that time.
