Description

Meet Lenny Approx. 5 years old Medium Male Available for Foster or Foster with the View to Adopt Currently residing in Southsea Transport Provided Anywhere in the UK Meet Lenny Lenny can be nervous with strangers within the home causing him to be reactive. Once he has built a bond with someone he is described as a lovely boy that enjoys attention. He has accepted several daycare workers and is generally more confident with people if they have a dog with them. On walks he is generally a good boy and tends to ignore other people that pass with other dogs. Lenny loves walks in the countryside and when on these walks and with his dog best friend he is described as in his element. He accepts a collar, harness and lead and walks well, His current caregiver explains that he has very good recall and enjoys his walks when with other dogs. Lenny need an adult only home. Lenny can be nervous around dogs when on the lead but will freeze rather than react, he enjoys playing with other dogs at daycare and has on occasions joined in with play with other dogs on walks, His confidence grows when around another dog and it is felt he would benefit from sharing his home with another dog however he can be dominant and therefore a female or submissive male dog would be best Lenny has met cats on walks and will bark and lunge at them so he would therefore need a cat free home. Lenny is toilet trained but has previously had a couple of nervous accidents. He is crate trained and uses this for his safe space. He is not destructive. Lenny can be left alone for up to 6 hours and copes with this well, he will just sleep in his crate. He has previously suffered with car sickness but can now travel in the car with no issues. His current caregivers explain that Lenny likes chasing with other dogs, peanut butter, chewing his horn/ bone and de-stuffing fluffy toys. He enjoys his own space sometimes and will often spend time in the spare bedroom by himself, sleeping.
