This is George, the 4 year old turquoise indian ringneck. George has joined us fairly recently and is a fantastic bird and we are only rehoming to the absolute best home as we would simply rather keep him otherwise.
George can say a lot of words and phrases, his favourites being “be a good boy” “woowwww” “heyy” “come here” and wolf whistling at you. He will suddenly surprise you with more as he often does to us.
George was hand reared as a baby but due to his previous home lost some of his tameness. He will happily come up and interact with you and loves to sit on our heads or legs, however he still doesn’t like hands very much and will fly away if asked to step up. I do believe with more time and patience this can change as he is already way less afraid of hands through us feeding him by hand often. He has a lot of quirks, he can be a greedy boy and absolutely loves food, his favourite treats being millet, orange and apple slices. His diet consists of a daily chop mix (i can give you his favourite recipe) and pellets.
This is a very reluctant sale as the only reason we are doing this is due to him not getting along with our conure and our conure is very bonded to us and we believe George would cope a lot better being rehomed.
George’s price is for him alone but if you want to purchase george’s cage that would be an extra £300 as it is brand new and we paid £280 for the cage and around £60 for all of his toys and perches inside.
