August In Cornwall With Your Dog - The Perfect Holiday Destination

Cornwall has to be one of the most popular holiday destinations in the whole of the UK which is hardly surprising because it's got so much going for it. Stunning coastlines, quaint out of the way villages and fishing villages, together with some of the best areas of natural beauty in the country. If you are still looking for somewhere to spend a couple of relaxing weeks away and would like to take your furry friend with you, just by browsing the internet you'll find some superb pet-friendly cottages and self-catering accommodation in this lovely region of the land.

Miles and Miles of Coastal Paths

There are literally miles of coastal and inland paths to explore in Cornwall which makes walking your dog such a joy. However, as with anywhere along the coast, you need to take extra care when you wander along some of the cliff top trails making sure your dog is on a lead because many of the stretches have sheer drops with only bracken and gorse inbetween the paths and the cliff's edge. The other thing you need to bear in mind is that some beaches are dog-friendly, whereas others are not so it's important to check the restrictions which are clearly marked on sign-posts before venturing onto one with your dog. Below are few dog-friendly places well worth checking out if you're hoping to get away with your dog this August.

Chycarne Farm - Praa Sands

Chycarne Farm boasts an enviable location just a short distance by car from one of the most stunning beaches in West Cornwall namely Praa Sands. It's a one bedroom self-catering cottage which makes the perfect base if you want to explore and enjoy all that's on offer in this part of the county. The walks in the area are outstanding which both you and your furry friend will love whether you head for the coast or opt to go further inland.
