Important announcement: changes to American Bully XL adverts on Pets4Homes

What does this mean for you?

1. Advert removals:

To be compliant with the ban, we will be removing all American Bully XL advertisements from our "For sale," "For stud," and "For adoption" categories. This includes pictures and any relevant information. 

2. No new adverts:

Again, to align with the new regulations, we will put a block on any new advertisements featuring American Bully XL dogs. This means you won't be able to create new listings for this breed on Pets4Homes after the ban kicks in.

Keeping your XL Bully:

- Get third-party public liability insurance.

- Neuter your dog if it is not already done.

- Pay the £92.40 registration fee for each dog.

- Apply for a Certificate of Exemption by January 31, 2024.

 

Microchips and more:

- Ensure your dog is microchipped.

- Train your dog to wear a muzzle and walk on a lead.

- Neuter your dog by specified deadlines.

 

What does this mean for a breeder?

- No more breeding after December 31, 2023.

- For rehoming, consider Certificates of Exemption.

- As a last resort, euthanasia is an option with a £200 compensation.
