You can identify a Chartreux cat by its distinctive solid blue-grey coat that has a dense, medium-length, woolly texture. These cats have a medium-sized, muscular, rounded body often described as resembling a 'potato on toothpicks', with a round head and a narrow snout that gives the impression of a smile. Their eyes are round, bright, and typically golden to copper orange, standing out vividly against their grey fur. Chartreux cats are known for their calm, quiet, affectionate, and intelligent nature, being easy-going and moderately social without demanding excessive attention.
