The Asian breed includes several groups of cats, all of which boast of having the appearance of a Burmese and a similar texture to their coats. There is a wide range of colour combinations and coat patterns, all of which are accepted under the GCCF breed standard, but each colour is designated as either "Full Expression" or "Burmese Colour Restriction". In short, a cat can either be the colour of the Burmese or it can be much darker and that includes black.
