Its thick double-coat, perfect for cold weather, comes in five colors: black, red, blue, cinnamon, and cream. This breed is characterized by its lion-like mane and teddy bear appearance, elevating its majestic look. Despite their looks, Chow Chows are not simply cuddly companions. They're known for their dignified, independent attitude, paired with a loyal and protective instinct, making them excellent guard dogs. The Chow Chow's unique character requires an experienced, patient owner, who is committed to regular grooming and moderate exercise. Chow Chows have strict dietary needs due to their propensity toward certain health issues.
