Please text or use messenger on FB https://www.facebook.com/groups/202438545119890/ Dark Girl DOB 10/08/21 £220 Light Boy DOB 25/10/21 £245 Our Babies are bred using Lineage. We do not just put 2 unregistered hedgehogs together because they would most likely be related!! So we Register and check lineage, to hopefully produce healthier babies. We handle and socialise our babies daily. A cheap hedgehog probably has no lineage. We are looking for Forever Homes. Somewhere where they will be given daily contact throughout their lives. We are also Hedgehog Glam FB or Instagram where there are bath sets, forage trays, toys and lots more. Here is part of our Care sheet. Please contact us to get Our full Care Sheet. Care Sheet Something to consider is that they can live between 3-6 years. So are you ready for long term commitment? We are looking for FOREVER homes. We at Mills Quills are Ethical hobby breeders firstly they are our loved pets. Each one is very Precious to us. We are Registered with The African Pygmy Hedgehog Club UK. So your baby will come with Club Registration and a certificate of Lineage. All Babies at Mills Quills are £245 and a £50 non refundable deposit is to be paid to reserve your chosen hoglet, Then £195 to paid on Collection. A Care pack will be supplied. 🦔 Mills Quills Baby Hoglets will leave roughly between 7-9 weeks. Depending on weight. A minimum of 170g 🦔 All babies will be sold as a PET ONLY home. Breeding Rights can be discussed before sale and must be agreed by us. 🦔 Mills Quills babies will be very socialised. Very importantly they would have been handled a lot. most probably when you take them home they can ball, huff and pop. They will be in new surroundings with hundreds of new smells and sounds. So this is a very important time for you to gently reassure your new baby. Most importantly let them investigate their new home (viv) so after an introduction to the family and a cuddle let them go into their new home and leave them to have a drink and something to eat. They will need to go to the toilet. Then that night it’s the first cuddle time , Sit them on your lap on a fleece blanket, they may be a fuming ball but that’s OK, it’s normal when they are unsure and scared. Just leave them and gently talk to them. Then leave them and so on. When your Hoglet Huffs, pops and balls it’s not due to unliking you it’s due to being scared or unsure, so please don’t take it to heart. Some of ours that we have had join us have taken 6 months to get to trust us, some were instant but roughly it can take about 6 weeks. So please be patient and keep giving them at least 30 minutes (the longer the better) lap/ handling time in an evening. The longer they are around you the quicker a bond is formed. A bond doesn’t just happen!! It has to be earned over time. At this time of bonding I personally think it’s beneficial to stick to viv and lap time where they will investigate you and the sofa. I think letting them run around the house at this time can be overwhelming!! So let them get used to you first. 🦔 Correct housing must be had and we at Mills Quills ask for 4ft vivarium as minimum and Not a 3ft. By the time you put a bed, wheel, tray, toys a 3ft is not big enough. We find Vivariums the best and you can find a nice 4ft so in inches it is 48” x 18” x 18” vivarium for £100 sometimes even a little cheaper. Also a 2nd hand vivarium can be found for a lot cheaper. The bigger the better. We do not recommend Zoozone’s for our babies. Having been sold 1 with my 1st Hedgie I realise how heat can not be equally maintained. Hedgies are an Exotic Pet and not like rabbits or guinea pigs. A cage/ rabbit hutch will not be suitable due to bars. 🦔 A Che Heating set up is required, Your Hedgie will need 22 degrees -24 degrees. 🦔 They will need a large bucket wheel where they will do most of their Poo and wee’s so this will need daily cleaning. We recommend Carolina Storm or Tic Tac wheels. A lot of other wheels are not suitable, so spending wisely and safely in the beginning is important. As well as daily spot cleaning their cage. A suitable substrate or liners. We tend to opt for puppy pads and kitchen roll, most of our own Hedgies prefer this. We also use finacard. We also use paper pellets in their forage trays. Which generally Double up as a litter tray after bugs have been eaten. Can you toilet train?!! It can be achievable, we did this by seeing where their favourite place was then putting a tray there and voila they now mostly go to this to poo and wee. And on the wheel which is a very natural thing. When they run they poo and wee. Can you stop this? NO unfortunately poo wheels and poo (boots) feet are mostly part of owning a Hedgehog. Hedgies poo a lot. It’s not pellets it’s similar to dog or cat poo but obviously smaller. We do clean our Vivs every other day and spot clean daily. We use F10 pet friendly spray to clean. We use a high amount of live foods and all our babies will be given live foods before they leave ready for you to continue the live feeding. This is a very important point to us at Mills Quills, it’s so important for your baby to be given these as a main part of its diet and not just as a treat ( Hedgehogs eat and thrive on live food) different bugs hold different nutritional values so a good mix is always best (Not too many mealworms due to them destroying Calcium) It is best to do a mix of 3-4 different dry cat biscuits so all nutrit

But also wooden houses can be used. Your Hedgie will be awake through the hours of darkness. In the winter mine averagely wake from 4.30pm to 6pm. In the summertime this time changes and sometimes they are not awake until 9.30pm. Then they will sleep, play, run on the wheel until daybreak, so something to consider if having them in your bedroom it’s important they have their wheels and not removed due to you not able to sleep. 🦔 They will need a large bucket wheel where they will do most of their Poo and wee’s so this will need daily cleaning. Please text us or message us through FB. We will need proof of set up with a day and time stamp to know that he will be going to the correct set up. Not having the correct set up can lead to Hibernation attempts and death. Zorro is 3years 5 months. He needs someone experienced with African Pygmy Hedgehogs and who will dedicate daily contact. He needs a forever loving home that can deal and love him as grumpy and crazy as he is. He loves to zoom about. Not kean on cuddles. Huffs and Puffs. Very funny little boy. Doesn’t put weight on e
