I would like to emphasise that I am not a professional gundog trainer however, I have personally raised and trained three Labradors to pick up game on shoots and to compete in working tests, achieving various awards along the way. This has brought me a great deal of satisfaction.
My passion for Labradors began many years ago, and my most recent three dogs have all been successfully trained to work in the field. I take great pride in watching their journey from puppies to fully developed working dogs, happy, well-balanced companions who thoroughly enjoy the work they have been bred and trained to do, particularly retrieving.
My dogs are happy, well exercised, and exceptionally well cared for, with no expense spared.
I thoroughly enjoy shooting and picking up, and my dogs regularly work on two shoots during the season. My training approach is collaborative and reward-based, encouraging Labradors to love their work while ensuring they remain content and fulfilled.
This is Harleigh’s first and only litter and the choice of stud dog was made with great care. We intend to keep a puppy to continue our passion for the sport, with the aim of producing an excellent working dog.
The stud dog, “Brae,” has an impeccable record, having won six Open Stakes and being a member of the England Gundog Team. Harleigh herself is an Open Working Test winner.
This carefully planned mating brings together strong, well-established working pedigrees.
