I love egyptian maus because of their spots, and their larger-than-life personailties! I have three cats, cousins, from Michele Clare's Starshadow cattery, and one of them, my lovely Thistledown, has occasional kittens. Our kittens are raised in our open plan house, a loving and busy environment. The kittens father is an absolutely adorable 'boy' owned by my friends Veronica & Claire.
I recommend that people interested in the Egyptian Mau breed join the facebook groups for the UK Egyptian Mau Society and Egyptian Mau Club, and there's others too, to find out more about the breed and the characterful and loving pets they make.
I am involved with the breed at a GCCF club, my kittens have GCCF pedigrees (which then means they can be with other registries) and I show my cats once or twice a year, usually in Kent, and at the Egyptian Mau Club show (Bristol in 2026) - these are good places for potential owners to meet the other people involved in the breed.
