Lurcher Link Rescue. We are based near Halifax, LURCHER LINK RESCUE is located near Halifax, West Yorkshire. We take in and rehome Lurchers from Put To Sleep situations - stray, abandoned and unwanted lurchers who have found themselves in the stray pounds. Some of these are "Death Row Cases" i.e. dogs who everyone else has given up on and we are their last chance. We do not have set rules regarding who can adopt one of our dogs - some have gone to live with young children, several have been rehomed to live in canal boats, caravans and flats without gardens. However we do carry out a homecheck and will endeavour to match the right dog to yourself, your family and your circumstances. We ask that you can show you can keep the dog safe and provide for its needs. Our priority is to ensure that the home is right for our dogs; not all dogs will cope with living with young, noisy, unpredicable children, many do not cope with being left home alone for long hours. We are particularly welcoming of home offers where you come with an open mind and are willing to let us suggest which of our dogs will suit you best. PLEASE NOTE - we rarely get cat-friendly lurchers in our rescue. (And when we do we are inundated with about 100 applications from people offering homes)
