Tatra Shepherds of Yorkshire – Ethical Family Breeder of Polish Tatra Shepherd Dogs We are a small, family-based kennel located in West Yorkshire, dedicated to the responsible breeding and preservation of the rare Polish Tatra Shepherd Dog (Owczarek Podhalański). Our dogs are part of our home and family life — they are not kept in kennels. We focus on raising puppies with stable temperaments, strong guardian instincts and excellent health, giving them the very best start in life. All of our dogs come from carefully selected Polish bloodlines, with parents imported directly from Poland. We are passionate about maintaining the true character of this ancient mountain guardian breed. Our puppies are raised around children, everyday household activity and natural outdoor environments. From an early age they are handled, socialised and gently introduced to the world around them, helping them grow into calm, confident and emotionally balanced dogs. We have been delighted with the feedback from our first litter, with families highlighting their calm temperaments, confidence and how well they have settled into their new homes. We provide full support to all of our puppy owners — before, during and long after they leave us. We are always here for advice and guidance throughout your dog’s life. We are also actively supporting the journey towards recognition of the Polish Tatra Shepherd Dog in the UK through engagement with The Royal Kennel Club. Our priority is not just to find homes, but to find the right homes — where our puppies will be understood, respected and truly valued.
