đ° The story behind The Lucky Lop project đĽ
When Ivy and her sisters came into our lives, we never expected what was about to happen.
Their breeder admitted she couldnât cope with them anymore and handed them over to us, asking us to save them. She told us they were dying one by one, and we knew they needed help.
When we first got them, we thought they were suffering from heatstroke. They had all been kept outside without shelter during a heatwave, so we rushed them home, got them into a cool air-conditioned room, and tried to give them the safety and care they needed.
But then, without warning, everything changed.
One by one, over the course of several days, they began suffering horrific seizures. We made countless trips to the vets, sought emergency help, and did everything we could. Sadly, despite all our efforts, Ivy was the only one who survived.
Ivy lost all of her sisters.
But Ivy survived.
She is the reason this project is called The Lucky Lop.
Her story is a reminder of why care, knowledge and responsibility matter so much. No rabbit should have to go through what they did.
Ivy is now safe, loved, and gets to live the life she always deserved. â¤ď¸đ
Her story is one of heartbreak, but also one of survival and itâs the reason I want to help more rabbits who need a second chance.
