We have owned Labradors for 60 years and been breeding now for nearly 30 years. Proud to have pro-active breeding ethics and encouraging genetic diversity within this breed. Several owners have had multiples of our lines over the years. We have some written references from previous new parents to our puppies and you are very welcome to view them. We do ask for you to send a video through this site showing the puppies new living and garden enrichment areas before offering a viewing of a puppy , this works really well as particularly new dog owners don’t realise certain things and we can guide them before homing a puppy from us. One of the most common things that we see is garden steps which until the puppy is much older need turning into a slope for its health and welfare. We ask that you do not visit another breeder on the same days as us , thus preventing any cross contamination to the pups’. On homing the puppy at 8 weeks after its second vet check , first vaccine and flea and worming , we only allow puppies to leave us before 12 noon. This gives the puppy daylight hours at its new home before its bedtime… everything we ask or insist on is from decades of experience to allow the puppy to adjust well. You will be required to leave with us a tea towel that is clean but not brand new from your kitchen drawer which we allow the chosen puppy to scent pre collection. This works amazingly for familiarisation of scent when you first take puppy home. If you have pets already eg dog/ cat we ask for two tea towels one of which needs the pet’s scent on; this can be done if you have a young child too. This can also be done in reverse and you bring another towel to take back home for your pet at home to familiarise themselves with the new puppy for its arrival … Working closely with our Vets’ - their opinions and advice is imperative to keep us up to date with breeding practices. Our Stud Dogs are superb, Natural matings,bred for health,temperament and beauty! Our dogs are our lives , they have their quarters in our family home, we do not have kennels. We also specialise in Focus work socialisation and enrichment with the puppies as this is Sandys area of expertise as a Canine Life Coach too. Please do not ask to home a puppy for less than our advert. We price our puppies to be realistic in the current life circumstances that we are all encountering; thus allowing you to have cash available to give it a good home and afford its care throughout its life. We will buy you your puppies RKC certificate and pedigree too. On your first visit you do have to listen to our background of breeding our Labs’ and we like you to have a list of questions ready for us too. Insurance - we no longer use the RKC insurance and expect you to have yours set up for the collection date please. 🙏.
