Meet Gorsebrae/Gayzette Savannahs - Early Generations

We are a breeder specialising exclusively in early generation Savannahs, working only with F1 and F2 cats. Our journey has been shaped by passion, responsibility, and a deep respect for these extraordinary animals. Early generation Savannahs are not ordinary cats, and we believe they should never be bred or raised in an ordinary way. Everything we do is guided by intention, patience, and care, with quality always placed above quantity. Our philosophy is simple and honest: we put the best with the best and hope for the best. This belief sits at the heart of our breeding program and reflects how we approach every decision we make. It means choosing our breeding cats carefully, prioritising health, temperament, and structure, and accepting that while experience and planning matter greatly, nature will always have a role. We believe ethical breeding requires both knowledge and humility. We specialise only in F1 and F2 Savannahs because these early generations require experience, understanding, and a high level of commitment. They retain a strong connection to their serval heritage, which gives them their striking presence, intelligence, and emotional depth. These same qualities also mean they need thoughtful socialisation and a breeder who truly understands their needs. Our cats are raised as part of our household, not kept apart or treated as breeding stock. Living with them allows us to know them deeply as individuals, including their personalities, sensitivities, and strengths. This daily interaction is essential when working with early generation Savannahs and plays a vital role in how we raise and place our kittens. All of our breeding cats were bred here in the UK, with no imports. This is something we are extremely proud of, as it allows us to know exactly how our cats have been raised from the very beginning. We are able to trace their full lineage with confidence, giving new families complete transparency about where their kitten comes from and how the generations behind them were cared for. Our F1 girls are sired by the exceptional Gayzette Asita Serval, with one very important exception. We also have a remarkable high-percentage girl who carries even more wild cat and boasts a truly fabulous pedigree. She has already produced some exceptional and very special kittens who stand out in both presence and temperament. Health and socialisation are at the core of our program. Our kittens are raised in a home environment, handled from an early age, and gently introduced to everyday life. We aim to produce healthy, confident, well-adjusted kittens who are prepared to thrive in their new homes. We place our kittens carefully, taking time to match each one with the right family. Early generation Savannahs are extraordinary companions, but they are not suitable for every household, and honesty is essential. Our commitment does not end when a kitten leaves us; we remain a lifelong source of support. We are proud of what we have built and remain dedicated to doing right by the cats we love.
