Meet Hernwood

Hernwood Gordon setters, started in 1984. We have bred several Champions, with dogs winning also in the USA & Canada. We are a small kennel with a big reputation & only bred the occasional litter.Pete & Chris started out in the mid 1980s when we purchased their first Gordon from the Lourdace kennels. This foundation bitch (Sh Ch Lourdace Mystique of Hernwood) gained her title and a total of 10 CCs in her show career. One of her progeny became their first home bred show champion (Sh Ch Hernwood Mystic Crystal) whilst a grandson (Sh Ch & Ir Ch Hernwood Crystal Graphite) went on to gain over 20 CCs and a G1 in Ireland. Whilst their dogs today have American bloodlines they also go back to these earlier Gordons on the English side of their pedigrees. We are top breeders 2012, and have living at home the Top Gordon Setter 2013.
