Welcome to Little Paws By Miles. We are Julia and Mark, experienced family-based breeders in Leeds, raising Ragdoll, Maine Coon and British Shorthair kittens. You can meet our individual cats and studs, see our health testing, previous and planned litters, follow our kittens as they grow and get a genuine insight into how our cats live and how we raise our kittens in our family home. We are registered with both the GCCF and TICA and have our own registered breeder prefix. We have carefully selected breeding queens and our own registered, health-tested and proven studs. We take breeding seriously and have built our approach around health testing, genetics, careful pedigree selection and the hands-on experience gained from raising our own litters. Every mating is carefully considered, taking into account health, temperament, pedigree, genetics and breed type. Our breeding cats undergo appropriate health and DNA testing for their breed and we are always happy to share and explain their results. We have completed training in feline breeding, birthing and kitten care, and microchipping. Our knowledge also comes from practical experience, caring for our queens through mating, pregnancy and birth and raising our kittens from their first moments until they are ready to leave us. We continue to research, learn and develop our knowledge because we believe responsible breeding means never standing still. Our cats are our pets first and foremost and live as part of our family. Our kittens are born and raised inside our home and are part of everyday family life from the beginning. We spend a huge amount of time with every litter. Our kittens are gently handled from birth and grow up around people, other cats and the everyday sights and sounds of a home. We get to know each kitten individually, which means we can talk honestly with prospective families about their personalities and help them find a kitten that may suit their home. We are particularly proud of the feedback we receive from our families. Again and again we hear how confident and affectionate our kittens are and how quickly they settle into their new homes. Many families stay in touch long after collection, and we love receiving their photos and updates as the kittens grow. We also offer stud services with our own registered, health-tested and proven studs. We have experience caring for visiting queens and supporting their owners throughout the process, from mating through to hearing the lovely news of resulting pregnancies and litters. Before leaving us, our kittens receive the appropriate veterinary care for their age, and we make sure their new families have clear information about their kitten, their routine and ongoing care. We are also here for our families after their kitten has gone home. We are very open about how we breed and how our cats live.
