Welcome to Agemera Spanish Water Dogs. My name is Lucia, and I am a passionate, dedicated breeder of Spanish Water Dogs based in the United Kingdom. My breeding programme is built on one simple principle – to produce healthy, well-balanced puppies with excellent temperaments while preserving everything that makes this wonderful breed so special. For me, breeding is not a hobby that begins when puppies are born. It is a year-round commitment involving careful planning, continuous education, health testing, training, socialisation and lifelong support for every puppy owner. All of my breeding dogs are carefully selected for their health, temperament and breed type. They undergo relevant health testing before being included in my breeding programme because I believe responsible breeding starts long before a litter is planned. Every puppy is raised inside my home as part of the family. From their very first days they receive individual attention and are gently introduced to everyday household life. As they grow, they experience a structured socialisation programme that helps prepare them for life in their new homes. My puppies are introduced to different people, children, household noises, outdoor environments, different surfaces, car travel, lead walking and new experiences at a pace appropriate for their age. They also begin toilet training before leaving, making the transition into family life much easier. Nutrition is another important part of my breeding programme. My puppies are raised on high-quality food and carefully managed diets to give them the best possible start in life and support healthy development. I actively train and compete with my own dogs in canine sports and enjoy showing them, allowing me to prove not only their appearance but also their intelligence, willingness to work and excellent temperament. Spanish Water Dogs are an incredibly versatile breed, and I love demonstrating their abilities both inside and outside the show ring. I believe every puppy deserves the right home rather than the first available home. For this reason, I take time getting to know prospective owners and am always happy to answer questions before and after a puppy goes home. My support does not end on collection day—I remain available throughout my puppies' lives whenever advice or guidance is needed.
