Meet Miss Janet McLellan

Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. I’ve been breeding dogs for over 10 years, and anyone who knows me will tell you that my dogs are a huge part of my life—second only to my children. Growing up surrounded by Border Collies, I always dreamed of owning and eventually breeding this incredible breed. While they have always been much loved family pets, I’ve also spent time training them for sheepdog work, and their intelligence and work ethic have proved invaluable when working with sheep and cattle. I can’t imagine ever being without a Border Collie. However, after starting my own family, I came to appreciate that although Border Collies are remarkable dogs, their high energy and drive don’t always make them the ideal choice for every household, particularly families with young children. Golden Retrievers had always held a special place in my heart. Having grown up around friends’ Goldens, I fell in love with their gentle, affectionate, and loyal nature. Watching how patient and loving they were with my own children confirmed that this was the perfect breed for our family. That experience inspired me to begin breeding Golden Retrievers, and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. They are truly wonderful family companions, and I feel incredibly privileged to raise my own puppies that will go on to become cherished members of their own families.
