Meet the Breeder
Newmiller Retrievers is a family-run Golden Retriever breeding programme based in Lincolnshire.
Our dogs are very much part of our family and are deeply loved. They live alongside us as part of everyday family life, sharing our home, our routines and our time. We know their individual personalities, quirks and temperaments, and their welfare is at the heart of every decision we make.
Our puppies are raised in a home environment around our family and children, surrounded by the normal sights, sounds and routines of daily life. From an early age they receive extensive handling, socialisation and individual attention.
Our focus is on health, temperament, sound structure and true Golden Retriever breed type. We are fully licensed and take great care in the selection of our breeding dogs, health testing and the planning of each litter.
Our aim is to raise confident, well-adjusted Golden Retrievers who are given the very best possible start before joining their new families.
Our Breeding Programme
Our breeding programme is based around responsible selection, appropriate health testing and careful pedigree planning.
Our dogs include European and champion bloodlines, and every pairing is considered carefully with health, temperament, structure and compatibility in mind.
We do not breed simply for colour or appearance. Our priority is to produce healthy, well-tempered Golden Retrievers with the characteristics and temperament expected of the breed.
How Our Puppies Are Raised
Our puppies are born and raised in a home environment and introduced gradually to a wide range of age-appropriate experiences.
This includes:
• Early neurological stimulation where appropriate
• Regular handling from an early age
• Household sounds and everyday family routines
• Age-appropriate enrichment
• Early grooming and gentle handling
• Introduction to crate familiarity
• Introduction to appropriate toileting routines
• Positive exposure to different surfaces, sounds and experiences
Our puppies grow up surrounded by affection and attention, and we take enormous pride in watching their personalities develop.
Ongoing Support
Our relationship with our puppy families does not end at collection.
We remain available to offer ongoing guidance on settling in, feeding, training and general puppy care.
Higher Standards
The welfare of our dogs and puppies is central to every decision we make.
We are a fully licensed breeder and are committed to responsible breeding, appropriate veterinary care, health testing and raising puppies in a safe, caring and well-managed environment.
We work to standards above the basic minimum requirements expected of licensed breeders, with a strong emphasis on welfare, cleanliness, enrichment, socialisation, record keeping and careful breeding decisions.
