A horticulturalist/tree nursery owner by trade, I am also a lifelong dog lover and experienced breeder, with generations of my own dogs behind every litter I breed. My dogs are very much part of our life and are raised in a busy farm environment, where they have plenty of space, stimulation and opportunity to develop into confident, well-rounded dogs.
I actively work and train my dogs, so temperament, intelligence and trainability are every bit as important to me as appearance. Over many generations I have bred selectively for sound health, excellent temperament, working ability, intelligence and the characteristics that make a dog both a capable working companion and a wonderful family member.
I know my bloodlines extremely well and can trace every puppy back through many generations to my original dogs. This continuity allows me to understand the temperament, qualities and characteristics behind each litter rather than simply breeding from dogs I know little about.
Puppies are raised with great care, handled from an early age and introduced to the everyday sights, sounds, animals and activity of farm life. My aim is to produce confident, sociable and trainable puppies with the best possible start in life.
Perhaps the greatest compliment is that many of the families who have had one of my dogs return years later for their second — and sometimes their third.
