Meet Shepherds Lodge Poultry

We’re a small, family-run poultry keeper near Stroud, Gloucestershire, specialising in tiny chickens with big personalities. Our focus is on carefully raising beautiful, healthy bantams with wonderful temperaments. Our birds are part of family life from a young age and receive lots of regular, gentle handling, so we’re particularly proud of just how friendly, confident and exceptionally tame they become. Many are quite happy being picked up, sitting on laps and generally behaving more like tiny feathered pets than livestock! 🤎 Dutch Bantams are at the heart of Shepherd’s Lodge, alongside our Polish and Barbu d’Anvers. We’re also developing our birds with breeding and exhibition in mind, with an emphasis on health, type and temperament. We breed and raise in small numbers, allowing us to give our youngsters plenty of individual attention.
