Hello! I’m Amy, the human behind Wrenfield Goldens — a small, family-based golden retriever breeder set in the Cheshire countryside. I grew up with goldens (my first, “Milo”, taught me more about patience than any book ever could) and I’ve spent the last 8 years focused on raising happy, healthy, well-socialised pups who are ready to become much-loved family members. Pets come first here, always.
Our breeding ethos
Animal welfare first: Every decision we make — from health testing to homing — is led by the dog’s best interests. We keep things transparent and caring, so you know exactly how your puppy has been raised.
Steady, responsible litters: We breed on a small scale so each pup gets the time, handling and enrichment they deserve.
Modern, safe, trusted: We follow clear guardrails around imagery, communication and responsible ownership — because doing right by the dogs matters more than anything.
Home & socialisation
Puppies grow up in our kitchen and garden hubbub — hearing the hoover, meeting visitors, and exploring safe textures and sounds. We use age-appropriate enrichment (gentle handling, novel objects, basic crate introduction) to build confident, people-centric pups who love family life.
Health & welfare
Vet health checks, first vaccination and microchip before they leave
Regular worming and parasite prevention
Early toilet training on washable pads and an outdoor routine (weather-allowing)
Comprehensive puppy pack including food, scent blanket, care guide and records
