Description
Well where do I start. I am fostering this girl who was rescued skeletal and terrified in central Spain (see video). Goodness knows what had happened to her but she is made of stern stuff and held up both physically and emotionally through her ordeal. She came to me in December 25 and initially was very scared, particularly of men (and still can be wary with men) and cowered in a corner and when she moved she commando crawled, keeping her body very close to the ground.
But right from the start I could sense a little twinkle in her eye and fast foward 10 months and now she is a fun-loving, cheerful, playful, cuddly girl, currently sitting next to me and asking for belly rubs. She makes hilarious noises when it's time to go for a walk and then has a blast on the walks and so far stays close to us when off lead (but that could change and she could develop a prey drive and go off). She loves other dogs, particularly my GWP, Beano, who is her play buddy. She's fine with cats, ignores mine completely.
She can still be scared of men sometimes but quickly overcomes her fears.
Her dream home would have another playful dog happy to romp with her and patient, kind adopters who don't mind her moments of fear (which are very infrequent once setlled).
Her adoption fee is a contribution towards the much higher costs of rescuing her including spaying, vaccines, chip, passport, parasite treatment, tests for S European diseases (all negative) transport within spain and to the UK.
