Description
Ronnie has been returned to me, the breeder, to find a more suitable home that can meet his needs. I have had Ronnie for 4 weeks, he has settled in well, adjusted well to a new routine and progressed well with age appropriate training. He is able to follow simple commands such as sit, paw, down and roll over, he can wait nicely for a short time, all with the motivation of food of course. He walks ok on a lead attached to his collar and would benefit from further training with this, his recall is ok too but this has only been tested alongside 2 other dogs (his mother and sister) who have an excellent recall.
Ronnie was returned due to a busy family schedule and difficulties meeting all of his needs, he also displayed destructive behaviours such as digging and chewing.
I own his mother who lives with us and can be seen whilst visiting. He was originally raised with children here between 0-8 weeks and then within a family with 4 children. Dad is a stud whom we stay in contact with in a WhatsApp group chat along with all of the litters (siblings). We aim to meet up once a year with all of them together.
During Ronnie's time back with us I have not witnessed any destructive behaviours, I believe this is because he is with two other dogs and it would be in Ronnie's best interest to be re-homed to family with another dog of a similar age or to somebody with experience training beagles.
We do have a cat which he tends to bark and howl at, he could be trained not to do this as he hasn’t shown any aggression towards her.
He is KC registered, microchipped, health checked and up to date with vaccinations and treatments. He will come with bowl, toys, crate, collar and lead. He will also have a return to breeder contract, KC papers and vac card.
