Meet Beautiful Bell
*PLEASE HELP BY SHARING THIS POST*
Bell is a gorgeous, loving girl who sadly finds herself back in rescue through no fault of her own. Due to a change in personal circumstances, her current adopter feels unable to give her the life she deserves. Bell is now looking for her forever home with someone
experienced, patient, and ready to help her continue to grow.
About Bell
Age: 5
Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped
Moderate energy level – enjoys walks, playtime, and snoozing in the sun
Personality
Bell can be a little nervous in new situations and with new people, but once she knows you, she will be your best friend for life. She loves belly rubs, hugs, and greeting you with excitement when you come home. She’s playful too—zoomies, tug of war, and ball chasing are all on her list of favorite activities.
She has a gentle, submissive side with people she trusts, but can also be strong-willed—especially around other dogs. She’ll need a confident, experienced owner who can provide leadership and consistent training.
What Bell Likes
People (once she’s had time to trust)
Adults and older teenagers
Playtime, tug of war, zoomies
Lazing in the sun or curling up on the sofa
Rope toys & raised beds
What Bell Needs Help With
Other dogs: Bell has lived happily with dogs before (her son and another rescue), but is reactive on walks and in the car. She may do well with a calm, confident male dog in the home, but managed introductions are essential.
Food guarding: Bell can be protective over big treats. She prefers to be left alone to finish, or gently redirected with a swap. Trick her basically as she get another treat!
Lead training & recall: She walks better with a head collar and has made great progress, but she can still be reactive. Off-lead isn’t recommended unless in a secure area.
Bell’s Ideal Home
A quiet, rural home with a secure garden to run and relax in
An experienced owner who understands rescue dogs and is committed to training
Preferably with a calm, strong male dog for companionship. But a home without any other dogs would also work.
No small children, though teenagers may be suitable
Someone who is patient and willing to help Bell continue to build her confidence
Additional Info:
Bell has had a TECA (Total Ear Canal Ablation) on her left ear 3 years ago (fully healed, no issues).
Needs her anal glands emptied every 4–6 weeks with the vet. This is more often than most dogs but isn’t anything to worry about, it’s just her biology)
Why Adopt Bell?
Bell is a dog who, once she bonds with you, will shower you with loyalty, affection, and joy. She’s playful, funny, loving, and just a little bit cheeky (she does like to shred cardboard and cushions if unsupervised!). With the right home and the right people, Bell will thrive and be a wonderful companion.
If you think you can offer Bell the calm, structured, and loving forever home she deserves, please get in touch today.
