Description
Betsy, our (almost) 1 year old Dutch x Rex bunny is looking to be rehomed but with a companion.
Betsy came to us alone and she was always happy and affectionate. She had an accidental litter in February, all of which were rehomed. Since she's been alone again she's been ever so sad, she has full roam of our garden and chooses to spend most of the time sat in one spot, she doesn't even want attention from us anymore.
Betsy is lonely and would benefit from having a bunny companion. Another that she can groom and snuggle up against. As upsetting as it'll be to let her go, I feel it's what she needs. My circumstances won't allow me to get another rabbit or I would.
Betsy has been spayed, is litter trained, had her nails trimmed and is fully vaccinated. Her next booster is due in August. As she's part Rex she isn't keen on being picked up, not by us anyway, she didn't mind multiple vets doing it 😄
Her hutch is a Pets At Home one, the 6ft wide model. It comes with the correct fitting thermal cover, not the cheap version. There's currently ceramic tiles on the floor to help keep her cool in the heat, these are removable. The hutch floor was covered with vinyl when we bought it new so the original floor has been protected. We altered the original hide box on the left of the hutch as it was too small when her babies were growing so there's just a panel there now, makes cleaning easier as well.
