Description
We're looking for a loving new home for our two beautiful cockatiels, Fifi and Brook. Fifi is a 1 year old female and Brook is a 10 month old male, and they have been cage companions for 8 months.
They are currently in a really exciting stage of their relationship. Brook has recently started showing courtship behaviours toward Fifi, and we believe they are on the verge of becoming a truly bonded pair. Whoever takes them on will get to witness and enjoy that journey firsthand.
They come with their full setup (cage, all toys, perches, supplies and food) so they can settle into their new home with everything familiar around them.
Fifi and Brook are typical young cockatiels; they are vocal, full of personality, and very much still developing. They are not yet fully independent and thrive on routine and human presence. We want to be completely honest about this because we feel it's important that their next owner goes in with realistic expectations, just as we wish we had been given. They will reward patience enormously and are already showing signs of the calm, characterful birds they are becoming.
They must go together; separating them is something we would never consider, so please only enquire if you are happy to take both.
We think Fifi and Brook would absolutely thrive with someone who has plenty of time at home; perhaps someone who is retired or works from home, who has some experience with cockatiels or parrots, and who has a calm, patient household without cats, dogs, or young children.
We'd love for any potential new owner to come and meet Fifi and Brook at our home first to have a proper chat, spend some time with them, and make sure it feels right for everyone. If it does, we'd ask for a week before collection, just to make sure the decision feels settled and considered for both sides. We've found this approach works best and any genuine owner will completely understand why.
