Description

Ludo is a beautiful tri-colour border collie. PLEASE READ FULL INFO CAREFULLY! We adopted Ludo at 6 months and unfortunately he didn’t have the best start in life. Ludo was shut outside in his previous owners garden without any interaction or training so when he came to us we had a real task on our hands. Ludo hadn’t been walked on a lead and had no socialisation with other animals which has led to him now being very reactive to other dogs. He also severely pulls on his lead and has typical collie traits of wanting to herd EVERYTHING! Ludo has come on a long way since being with us and he really is such a happy boy. He loves running around in the garden or at a freedom field, and loves to play tug with his toys. Unfortunately Ludo has become more anxious over the last couple of years and is particularly scared of thunder, fireworks and any other low rumbling noises. He is crate trained and will make himself safe in his crate if he hears something that scares him. Due to us living in a built up town area we’ve decided with a heavy heart that Ludo needs more space and a quieter setting so he can improve and become a brilliant pet to the right owners. Ludo needs to be the only pet in the household as he really doesn’t get on with other dogs, and although he hasn’t met any cats I don’t think he’d get on well with these either. Ludo is great with people and children, although I’d suggest a home with older children would be better suited. It’s taken us a long time to come to this decision and rehome Ludo as he is such a gorgeous loving boy. However due to us working full time and living in a town centre, we feel he’d have a better life in not such a built up area and with someone that would have more time to spend on his training.
