Description
I am delighted to finally be able to offer out surplus deer mice. An extremely social species of American mouse. Bred in captivity in laboratory settings for a number of years, they now have numerous colour mutations.
If regularly handled, can be just as handleable as a fancy mouse. Not an aggressive or bitey species by nature, can be picked up with ease.
Best kept in groups to exhibit a range of natural behaviours. They will sleep in one big nest, communicate with each other through bird-like chirps, groom one another and socially crèche rear young.
I am happy to discuss enclosures, diet and husbandry with prospective new owners.
