Description
Adorable DAISY and MONTY win anyone’s heart with their timidity and mutual affection.
They have both rescued from communal (kill) pounds, but at different times.
Monty could possibly be a cross between a Sheltie/German Spitz or/and a Pomeranian, with a Welsh Corgi, maybe…
His shoulder height is +/- 39 cm. Weight : around 15 Kg.
Monty has spent nearly 3 years in private kennels, before bringing him here. We don't get it - because he is an incredibly handsome dog ! He is sociable with his own kind and has a gentle character, perhaps too gentle, which is also his "problem" - to put it that way. Monty finds life in a large, busy shelter very impressive, he feels insecure there. Monty is a dog who likes a soft hand and a calm approach. He needs people who can give him enough Tender, Love and Care, that is really what he needs. A place of his own, where he can finally settle-in quietly and forget all the misery he has experienced.
Luckily, in the last shelter (before coming to us) he has found someone he can rely on : sweet DAISY, with whom he has been living for almost a year now.
Her date of birth was estimated in June 2023. DAISY is also a small/medium size (+/- 38cm height on the shoulder blades), lovely dog. They have sadly been waiting in that private shelter for a year now ; that is why our friends & fellow rescuers asked our help to take them to Nottingham and find a home for them.
As per her look, she could possibly be a cross between a Poodle and a Sheltie, but she will have other breeds in her, too.
Although here we spend some time with our dogs and they get to socialise with people and other dogs, they are still rather sad. They both need a loving person or family. Please adopt them !
We are also advertising them separately, but we strongly hope that they will be adopted together !
MONTY and DAISY have been fully vaccinated ; we’ve had them neutered, too.
Friends InDeed is a registered Charity.
Home-Check (even done online, at times) is mandatory.
We do NOT supply dogs to non-genuine Dog-Loving people. There are all kind out there... can’t be too careful !
We do not supply work, assistance or service dogs, regardless of what noble/moral it would be ! We will need your promise that DAISY & MONTY will reside as PETS in your Home and they will be well looked-after and loved !
Should you adopt them - you will also agree to keep in touch with us, for years to come - so we can help with any issues.
You must have your own garden and no children under 10 years old to adopt (a) dog(s) from our rescue.
We are a 100% genuine and transparent Dog Rescue and we are doing substantial efforts to save these lives. We reserve the right to ask any (different) adoption fee / donation for our dogs - depending on circumstances. In most cases, we are not covering the costs ! Anyway, we are flexible and open(...minded) to discuss over the price with the right potential adopters.
Our preferred method of contact is over the phone or WhatsApp - as we work during the day, with limited access to emails ; it is also more expedient - we can exchange most information in one go.
We keep in touch with all adopters (over 500 families, so far). On request, we can obtain & provide very good references from any of them.
As we do with a lot of our dogs, we can bring MONTY almost anywhere in the country -from St. Helier to Lerwick- and you won’t have to pay a penny until you have him !
Please, please - NO TIMEWASTERS !
Thank You !
