Honey is a beautiful, sweet-natured little girl who is looking for a special person to help her feel safe, loved and secure. ❤️ When Honey first arrived to the UK from Bulgaria, she was very reserved and frightened, but with time, patience and kindness, she has slowly started to come out of her shell. It has been so lovely to see her confidence grow, and she is now beginning to seek out love and affection from us. Underneath that initial fear is an incredibly loving girl who adores cuddles and simply wants to feel safe with her people. 🥹💕 Honey has also made some wonderful progress with her house training and now sleeps peacefully through the night without toileting indoors. She has even started discovering the fun of playtime, showing interest in a couple of toys over the last few days. These little milestones are a beautiful reminder of just how much potential this special girl has when she feels comfortable and secure. Honey is still a sensitive soul, and outside noises can frighten her, so she will need a calm, quiet home where she can settle at her own pace. She would thrive with someone who understands that trust takes time and who will give her the patience, reassurance and consistency she needs to continue blossoming. It is important to be honest about Honey's needs so that we can find her the right home. She struggles around other dogs and can react by barking, growling, snapping and lunging, even when another dog is calm and giving her space. She can also be protective of her people, food and resting places. For this reason, Honey needs to be the only dog in the home, with an adopter who understands her need for space, predictable routines and careful management around food and her favourite resting spots. In the right environment, Honey has so much love to give. She doesn't need a busy household or lots of excitement; she needs a safe haven, a cosy bed, gentle affection and someone who will let her learn that the world isn't such a scary place after all. ❤️ The person who gives Honey that chance will get to experience the special joy of watching a frightened little girl grow into a more confident, happy and loved companion.
